.
I was playing around , trying to uncover some details...
The design of the bootlid is pure speculation...I tried to let it 'flow' (following the character line) , giving it a touch of Rolls Royce (as Eni mentioned some time before..) ...
Here is , what I came up with...

Oh, now you mentioned the profile. I actually dislike the side profile, too soft and without personality, hope this is bacause of the disguise, but what i see, with those chrome handles... Don´t like so much.

When i saw the Melbourne shots i thought i would be a diferent style, much more agresive, andwith the handles painted like the car.

Lets wait for the oficial pics.

Re: F01 / F02 BMW 7er - Spy Pics & Info Part IV (first FEP pics incl.!!!)

In fact, it has an almost "uninteresting" side...

I don't like the roofline, the windows are too big, and the way the roof decreases is too soft, too rounded, too e65. That is not really good looking with the character line, which is not dynamic at all. it's not raising at all, giving a passive look.

And I absolutely don't like the place of the door handles. They are way too high, just like the character line. It's almost "Korean-looking"!

However, it is very well possible that with the rear and front revealed (especially the way the lights go into the side, and connect with the character line, along with the shape of the trunk) could make it look better.

Not very enthusiastic so far.

Re: F01 / F02 BMW 7er - Spy Pics & Info Part IV (first FEP pics incl.!!!)

IMo, the rear lights will be the other way around (wide basement, and thinner at the top), and won't have red with white on top.

And the trunk won't be falling like that (even if it could be), it will be more steady to follow the character line. So I think it will fall more than that, and then not decrease any more.

Damn Ralfd, where did you get such a stupid idea about those lines .. they look like a S class in the rear, and like a C class in front, hope this is not as near as what it's going to look like, so old and obsolete.

Ralfd, I believe you are also missing some creases around the Hofmeister kink.
