Thanks for the continual updates of the F01 program, not long now..just gotta sit patiently in anticipation.

Real bummer that there won't be an M7 because the 7er seems to have a very similar stance to the current 5er (except stretched a bit more of course), so it would have made for another stunning M model.

Just curious also, is BMW still following what you hinted at earlier in the new 7er's development where the LWB variant will have a more sedated look to it, while the SWB 7er will be touch more sporty and dynamic... or has BMW shelved this idea of design differentiation because of the CS Concept/8er model which will be coming in a few year?

Please tell me there's at least an M-package planned for the 7er, ala X5?

My sources say there will be optional M-package available later for the F01 7er - featuring exterior & interior trim initially planed for standard F01 to differentiate it form F02. Sportier appearance on board.

Well as good as it is that an M-package will be offered, kinda sucks from an enthusiasts point of view that BMW scrapped plans to differentiate the F01 and F02 variants.
So much for the two-pronged attack on the S-class and the ever-increasing advancements of the A8.

Ah well, I guess it was the cost-effective option.

I always had doubts about the differenciation between the SWB & FWB version and i also doubt they will offer an M pack for the 7 er, they have never done it and i don't see reasons why they should change their approach.
