The S80 has upto B4 level protection, which protects against small handguns, while the armoured 7-series has upto B7/B8 level protection (B7 for the windows and B8 for everywhere else) which protects against armour-piercing AK47 rounds (I think)

The S80 has up to B6+ protection for the entire car, which is very similar to the BMW. Also, there is no B7/B8. The rating scales tops out at B7. Therefore, the BMW is rated B6/B7.

I once read that very clever car jackers know all the techniques to cracking even the most stringent and safe car safety and theft prevention systems. You'd be amazed how well these guys crack cars with advanced computer code cracking techniques etc.
