Sarcasm my friend . I love my 7er and wouldn't trade it for an S class no matter what.

And Luwalira, at least it served well for the last 6-7 years. While I can see you repeating the above sentence in less than a year about the S-Class. While the A8, is still on a different league IMO. The best car in its class for sure (design wise ofcourse). Thats is excluding the Maserati for sure.

I always liked the looks of the E65/66 and it still is a very modern looking car IMO.

Actually, the tail lights on the pre-FL model don't look "natural" somehow...

It's like the one on the boot lid were forgotten... not an ugly car just the back doesn't look right.

But the face-lift improves in 50% the look of it.

The longer tail lights definitely help the back to look better impression. I may be the only one who actually see a sort of E32 reference in the face-lift E65 tail lights.

-I definitely like the courage of BMW to come-up with such radical looking luxury car that makes the Maybach 57 look dumpy and frumpy. Never mind the pregnant whale they call it the Maybach 62.

Well Rob as it stands in the hear and now the S65 is untouchable. All of the what-if scenarios don't count when the S65 can be had now at the local MB dealer.

That's certainly a easy position to take now isn't it? You know as well as me you'd love to see a M7 traveling with a S65, and a RS8 hauling ass down the freeway now wouldn't ya?

The easiest! Yes, that would quite a sight.

Sure, I take your point. I was just suggesting to The Artist that he should not assume that only Mercedes-Benz are capable of producing such a vehicle.

True, but you know when someone else does a 600hp sedan will roll out the S75 or S90, don't ask what the hp will be!

I dont think anyone here doubt that BMW or Audi can't build powerful car to match a S65.
But dont you guys think it would feel weird to have a big luxury car like a 7-serie with a highreeving engine with a redline all the way up to 8400 rpm?
Thats what M's are about, highreeving engines.

It can't be any more wierd than a SUV (X6) with the same type of engine, IMO.
