![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ^ The one thing the M6 does not need is more power. My gosh - what brutal top end delivery! It's a very very fast car as it is. The S85 is still one of the outright greatest engines ever. If only BMW put a DCT box in this Competition Edition. That would've been something special...

![]() ![]() | I'm wondering. Have you driven either an M5 or M6?

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I have. What are you refering to? the jerky automatic mode? other than that the SMG3 is awesome. I say its thanks to the gearbox M5 can still keep up with the newcomers in acceleration. SMG was built around the V10 and one of the reasons why the manual version took so long. Also, it would cost too much to replace SMG with the new DCT gearbox and I also think it would do more harm than good, the acceleration times would be slower. Other than the jerky automatic mode the SMG is working alright.

![]() | Yes. Myself. M5 sedan. And owned 645Ci SMG. That might make my statement maybe a bit more valid for you, though I doubt it.

![]() Why are you so bloody sensitive? Firstly, don't even mention the 645i SMG as it is the same only in name. Secondly, after coming from an E46 M3 SMG II, I found the SMG III a bit slow in manual mode, no matter what drivelogic setting, I was simply asking as "a match made in heaven" means that you didn't find that problem. Why does every thread I participate in degenerate into an argument?
