Re: MotiveMagazine - Motive Vertical: BMW 6 series from E24 to E63 -

My friend's 2006 M6 needed a new fuse for the cigarette lighter yesterday, so he could use his radar detector. With another friend who owns a car repair shop, it took over 20 minutes to find the fuse- had to open up two separate fuse boxes, one in the trunk and one behind the glove box. The guide to the fuses is hidden on a small loose piece of paper in the trunk, not in the owner's manual. The guide was not very helpful as it only had symbols, not text, and there was no fuse labeled for the lighter. We had to call a BMW dealer to find out the fuse number. Give me old school simple technology anyday.
