I believe the answer to that is yes: 4.4 litre biturbo V8 to replace the 4.8 litre V8

That shop looks like pooh, good thing it is what it is.

I'm not a very big fan at all of the E63, the worst BMW design of this current crop of cars. However, I'm a very big fan of the original E24 6er, so I'm excited to see a new generation 6er that will hopefully pick up where the original left off. I believe it would be appropriate to make the next generation 6er more sports car and less GT cruiser; a BMW should always posses the core BMW trait of being sporty to drive, and I've heard nothing more about the current 6er than it's a really plush car to pilot. Lets kick things up a notch, last time I checked there was no "CL" in the BMW model portfolio.

Yes, but there will be a N/A V8 too. I think/hope the N/A V8 will have 408 hp, and the TT V8 more

You not liking the E63 is one thing, but saying this car is not sporty to drive or too 'plush' is just.....weird. I mean how would you qualify the 5er then? The E60 5er drives WORSE in ALL ways than a E63....
Anyways, looks like you haven't driven a 6er yet, because what you say is just incorrect. It might be a non sports car compared to the Gallardo on the front page, but it's a whole other concept...

Correct.

NGV8 NA "around 400HP", NGV8 turbocharged "way over 400PS".

My guess: NA will initially come with eg. 395HP (290kW), turbo initially with 435PS (320kW). And NGV12 with 530HP (390kW).

Your guess sound goddamn aweome to me! Exactly what I want to hear!!!

NGV12.... that would be a nice output compared to the current V12, but I pray to God we will finally have something to rival the W221 V12 TT as well. BMW simply needs an answer to te S65 AMG next gen. It doesn't even have to be an ///M engine. Just something to match the S65

I think people sometimes forget that Klier has a 645i---right? Ive driven one-i was moderately impressed, however i didnt think it was all that different from the 550i i drove...It sounded better but the steering felt roughly the same-which is good because it doesnt venture from BMw standards.

The NGV 12 doesn't make sense. The S85 can pump ~535/540 hp de-restricted.

What doesn't make sense?

S85 is a racing high-reving engine. M model exclusive engine.

V12 is pure luxury statement. Torque monster. Large displacement.

Lightbulb Next Generation 6er! - 08-04-2007, 04:07 PM

Ok I need to get a scanner since I didn`t have enough time at the grocery store. What I saw from Automobiles Sept issue was quit shocking.

Automobiel magazine is saying the next generation 6er will feature a boat-load of more luxury features than the present model. (The next 6er might be a CL550 fighter). and will be less controversal than the present model.

The lines from the ps appeared to be more flowing and elegant than the present model as well.

The article also mentioned that the 4.8liter V8 will feature Bi-Turbos. ( fighting MBs Direct-Injection technology.

Who ever comes opon this issue should post it. It`s interesting.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
updated I didn`t find a scanner but I did find an article on the 2011 BMW 6er.
