To my eyes, carbon fiber-trimmed interiors are hideous mates for luxury interiors. Reason being, nobody would ever trim their car like that because it looked good as a trim element - it doesn't.
Instead, it's used because we know that it's expensive, and "race." Is it a genuine aid for weight reduction? If so, this isn't weight reduction a la luxury car, it's the kind of weight reduction a ricer would perform on their Integra-R. If you're mad enough to ruin a perfectly attractive dash with CF, then you're certainly mad enough to toss out the power seats - right?
If carbon fibre didn't carry the connotations of "expensive race trim," nobody would want it within 100 feet of their dash. As is, it's poseur jewelry, with the exception of true featherweight sports cars.
