Btw, it's Nürburgring.

And it's not just you. It's a known fact.

The Ring is one of the most demanding racing tracks - talking about the original Nordschleife, not the GP track.

BMW and Porsche are testing & dominating there (MB, Audi, GM, Nissan, Toyota, etc also testing there). Lately more and more car manufacturers coming to test there. All wanting to develop better handling cars.

There are some rumours BMW are playing with an idea to invest in a private testing track - designed to be even more demanding. Why? To come closer to Porsche, and to enlarge the gap between BMW and the followers. But this would be very expensive investement.
