True. Have checked gear ratios of manual M5, and manual 550i. They are identical!

Yet press release on 2007 M5 (US version) does not state different 0-60mph figures for manual & SMG, so I guess the figure is identical (4.5s). What's happening beyond 60mph is another matter, I guess.
