^ 5er always is a better car than 7er, in my opinion. It always has (almost) all the gadgets of the 7er, but the car is lighter and smaller and more agile and always better designed somehow.

After seeing this, and the F01 twin kidney grille, i am starting to think that those promised huge grillers are not that big. This is not much more biger than what we actually have, is more about the location than the size.

Damn, awesome! I am completely in shock they are showing the grille so early in development....it's almost in between first testing stages and FEP stage.

I think the shape, size and posiition of that new grille is pretty great
It also reminds me a lot of the 7er, with the long flat bonnet with bulges on the side, big grille and position of the lights...

The difference between the F10 and F01 is more or less the same as the difference between E38 and E39, and not E65 and E60. Frontlights and backlights will look more different though I suppose (hope).

I hope the vents on D-pillar make to produciton.

I hope that this next 5er retains the current generations superb stying. I love the current generations near perfect proportions.

Quad exhausts and they probably have the grill exposed to test cooling which probably means a new engine.

WOW... look at the size of rear-door, it's so small, especially at the base of the door. Very coupe-like!

Actually, compare it to the CLS rear-door, it's nearly identical.




Good thing is, BMW won't call the 5er a coupe. If you want to see the gradual coupe-like transformation of the 5er, just compare the Hoffmeister kink on the E39 5er that klier posted with that of the F10 test-car! A totally wicked change from restrained elegance to all-out sporting charisma!

With quad exhausts and such a low ride height, and the necessity to take out the grilles and let air go straight inside the bonnet, can this be the M5?
