One thing they have to improve is the interior design. The current one is too tamed, too boring. | | | | | Fanatic

I just hope BMW can keep up with the bar set by the E65's interior. It was, and remains, one of the most compelling applications of non-automotive domestic design to a car's interior.
If anything, I fear that the F10's interior will be too tame and accessible. We don't really have a good read on where BMW is headed with interiors at the moment - so I'm crossing my fingers for a pleasant surprise. | | | | | Trendsetter

Next generation BMW 5-series to get hatchback version? May21
For some reason, and despite their practicality, hatchbacks have never been popular sellers in North America. This may be why BMW's rumored split trunk feature on the next-generation 5-series is engineered to act like a traditional trunk lid or hatchback, which lifts the glass as well. Or, it's possible the innovative feature may never make it Stateside, like many other European products.
While the feature is not yet confirmed, it is under review for the next-generation 5-serie,s due out in 2010. The unique trunk is similar in concept to the TwinDoor feature used in the Skoda Superb, according to Auto Express reports. An extra hinge between the window and metal trunk lid would allow the latter to open independently of the former, or the two opening together. Split-folding seats would grant more storage space, allowing the car to handle bigger or oddly shaped objects. BMW would positions the car in between its sedan and wagon 5-series offerings.

We have always maintained this segment with a sedan and so it shall stay. | | | | | The Following 3 Users Say Thank You to SCOTT27 For This Useful Post: | | | Member

But you're not ruling out BMW creating a new segment wherein a something that looks remarkably like a hatchback but is called something else may come to exist.
The X6 is essentially a hatchback. | | | | | Tags | 2010, 2010 bmw, 2010 bmw 5er, 2010 bmw 5er spy pics, 5er, 5er f10 spy pics, bmw, f10, f10 bmw 5er, f10 sedan and touring, info, pics, spy | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
