E60 M5 test mules had the final wheels on back in 2003, so I don't think it's too early.

These wheels are way too concave to fit a regular F10. So I second Betty's opinion, that is the final design...

Oh my. I never knew I was easily swayed. OK, this is my final decision. I'll stick with my original hypothesis. These wheels will be the standard M5 (F10) wheels. They look fantastic and are just too special to be used on a standard 5 series. They appear to be as lightweight as possible (like the M6 wheels).
