The new 5er will not have the same front end as the GT as will the rear end with sleeker integrated light units.
The trunk area will be more condensed and not as high as the interpretations intend. Also the 5er will have a more sloping dynamic roofline to advance it's intentions as the...
....the ultimate coupe.

C'mon Scott, that's a given. Do BMW even have to try for that? Doesn't that just come naturally to BMWs?

Please god no...let the 5er be a normal sedan, no need to try and turn it into a 4-door coupe.

I think based on the GT and some other comments i'd say the headlights edges will not be as smooth as that PS, probably a set more angular headlights..

I actually think it needs it. I'm not a big fan of the new hood shutline that disrupts the integrity of the car's front design. The V-crease adds some integrity and dynamism to the look.

IMO ideally the shutline would go below the kidneys so that they were a part of the hood (and went up whenever the hood went up like in previous generation BMWs). Second best solution would be that the shutline cut the front horizontally in the same level with the upper part of the kidney frame like in the current E60 5er.

Excellent points. Perhaps if the v-crease was a little wider, I think the one in the PS gives the front a cross-eyed kind of look (if that makes any sense).

I guess a wider crease could work too, especially as the kidneys are quite large.
