M5 Touring, before and after a crash - 09-23-2007, 01:34 PM

The owner
Yeah, unfortunately. Rear right tyre burst at about 100mph. Car started spinning and hit the armco several times then rolled over. Nobody hurt, we walked without a scratch. Will post detailed photos of car and tyre after the police investigation is over. Insurance covered everything. Cheers

Oh, what a shame... Do we know why/how the tyre burst?

Oh boy that is too bad. Such a car...
I assume it will be repaired? The structure does not look too damaged. Otherwise I'll take the motor and put it in my Golf

I´m glad that passangers got out without serious injury or worse..Tyre failure or rupture at high speeds can end alot worse that this did..too bad for M5,it got some serious beating all over .

I second that..Total damage IMO..Repair would cost too much to even consider it as an option .

The sign of a great looking car is that it still looks attractive even after a 100mph crash 'n roll.

On a serious note though, glad to hear all involved got out without any serious injuries. As vedjo01 said, at that speed it could have been a lot worse.

At least no one got hurt, going at that speed it could of caused some serious damage!

This would be a case where run flat tires would come in use!
