So, it´s a mule for testing the upcoming M6 CSL engine and brakes (finally ceramic )
But this question remains: Is the E60 M5 going to get a power/suspension/brakes upgrade? In other words: is there going to be an M5 CS?
Cheers

Don´t get me wrong,turbo engine would be no less than awesome..But,there is a but for me..You know? | | | | | GCZ's High Court

If you want them to prove themselves with getting $h!tloads of power from NA engine, let me remind you just on this: McLaren F1.
Sure, not many of us expected them to turn this way around, but lemme tell you something: Turbo won't change the M philosophy! Turbo was present even before, when BMW ruled in F1 for example, but the core remained the same.
As long as they aren't Autobahn Stormers with $h!tloads of hp and torque, i'm satisfied, even if we take in consideration adding turbos to M cars. When they change that part/philosophy, then i'll be pissed and i'll bitch very loud about BMW and M, mark my words. The core remained unchanged: M cars are about sheer driving pleasure and (track) performance orientated cars, with less power than their competitors, but still able to shut their mouth up with double less displacement, cylinders, hp, torque, etc... And that's what makes them sooooooooooooooooooo special! | | | | | Fanatic

Look, it was more than 20 years since we've seen a turbo in a BMW car and everyone forgot about it. Now suddenly when it came back to standard line-up (non-M), some say it's killing M philosophy, etc... Listen, 1st let's see a Turbo'd M engine in a production car, under the M badge and then we'll discuss... I don't mind the idea as long as it's the (as Andreas said) High revving turbo engine... And it can only be it since it's not an FI engine (if i'm not mistaken of course)...
I don't doubt BMW when engines are concerned, 'cause you don't doubt the leader... | | | | | Executive

^more or less you guys are saying
that Turbo sucked before and was not M
and now it is..cause BMW does it in their own way ( wich really isnt their own way cause i doubt they invented the high reving turbo engine) | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
