Hartge develops 550 HP with minor changes to original engine setup..Hamman and AC Schnitzer also..and those are respectable tuners with most serious upgrades and high reliability(I think service intervals and expected engine life is same as original BMW product,if I´m not mistaken)..IMO BMW shouldn´t have no problem pulling 560-570 HP with current displacement..only torque would be almost identical with curent engine,or slightly different.
