EDIT: Didn't see Klier's response:

I dunno man, how can even say such a sentence? Audi has a ton of motorsport development which surely leads me to believe they would have little problem in developing such an engine.

I completely agree with vabboud.

It's not that Audi can't (same goes for everyone else), it's that they more or less don't need to. Especially for a car like RS6. My point was of course that if Audi wanted to assemble such an engine, they could.

just call me victor bruce, better than the rusty old nickname, and studying engineering, gives you a whole new perspective over such fanboyist discussions.
it's interesting to see how much one can actually do, given the proper funding and incentive

I see you guys have information that power will be upgraded to 567 HP..but more important to me is by what means itīs gonna be achieved?Displacement increase or through increase of rev range beyond 8000 ?Or even both?I If itīs gonna be just pushing revs to the limits,IMO it would need atleast 8200-8300 to give 560-570 HP IMO..

I would have to wholeheartedly disagree that assumption (obviously).

I must admit though, I admire the fact that you stick to your guns.

M5board members dont seem to like the idea with an upgraded M5.

Give me a good reason why BMW should update the engine for 2008?
And why didnt BMW update the engine already for the facelift?

Off course they don't like the idea, they own an M5. They don't want their car to become obsolete..

if this is true, we can be sure of that M3 gets an update as well in a few years.
