Does anyone know the correct way to follow the progress/building of a new ordered car? I've tried putting in the order no. in BMW Owners Circle but all I get is the color and model of the car, not a progress report. The car was ordered 5-6 weeks ago.

Any suggestions are much appreciated.

Here in US, you can find by calling the toll free number 800-831-1117 which is more up to date than the Owners Circle. You should have one for your country as well.

Follow-up: I was notified from the dealer that the car is built and will be soon loaded on the ship for the trip to me. I could have it as early as the end of July. I'll keep you posted.

I sort of understand... Maybe it's just that he likes that size and type, like my dad he's reluctant to settle for anything else other than a big luxury sedan (ie. A8, etc).

Why do I have such similar vehicles?

Well, the four door sedan fits me right and suites the needs of the wife and family. I'm not an SUV or convertible type of guy, more of a moonroof type of guy. These are all medium sized, fun to drive, spirited, not too conservative or flashy cars.

There's something intriguing about possessing something and also having its worthy competitor(s).
