True, but I suposed they haven't driven the new S klasse.
Also there is a diference between what cars grampas actually buy and what some writer think.
Ofcourse MB continues to be the older alternative.
Nevertheless the S klasse has transformed itself from a passanger car to a driver's car.
The new design, sporty atitude and BMW-copied interior is clearly aimed at an younger audience. The succes of the bangle 7er is partialy because of it's sales succes in SE Asia, where it becomed THE prestige car of its class.
The W221 clearly was created to stop/reverse the decline of the W220 in that area and win back some market share from the 7er.
