This does not look like a US problem only. BMW is worried that this might cost more than they want it to cost.

Hopefully this will lead BMW to learn something about their designs when it comes to aluminum and maybe other manufacturers will learn as well.

Either way I hope that these people don't loose a beautiful investment.
