One thing's for sure the R always generates discussion. No car can be all things to all people - but it's a brave one that makes a valiant attempt. It's clearly not a failure - just a niche vehicle. I never get tired of looking at mine. To me, the GST is one of the few concept cars that was actually "built" with relatively minor changes (ie. no suicide doors, antenna cover instead of glass all the way back, full taillights instead of triple slits). Has anyone noticed features copied now by other makers like the Pano Roof? I have yet to see a Dodge Challenger on the streets but that's another example of a closely followed concept car (comparison to Chrysler purely unintentional and delusional) |
