That sure could be a possibility, especially as a very effective and simple way of tricking us all as to the real look of the front.

But then you have to wonder why they'd go to such an extent? I mean, the true anticipation of the M3 was the Coupe coz it's pretty certain the 4-door won't be able to match the Coupe's dynamics...so why the effort to and disguise. It would be more common to simply slap on all that black tape and guard to cover the new front spoiler as they've done with the rear.

I must say, I'm a little disappointed that BMW just slapped the E92 M3's front bumper, light assembly and hood on the sedan. I want the E90 M3 to have its own distinct look.

I'm happy they are tossing E92 head lights on the E90 M3, makes it look more sinister. But most importantly it makes it more difficult for all those future M3 Sedan wannabes out there to imitate.
