hence my first statement..it will be underpowerd vs the competition from START..

PS
now we cant say wich car will be faster for sure.. that we have to wait for..but with most certainty the C63 will have more power than the M3.. and thats fine.. but from the start.. like if they debut at the same time..
But that's how it has always been though more or less. Since when were M's known for their sheer power?

Re: Next-gen BMW M3 a year away?

but still they had time to be on top of the power chart for a while..
for example M5 was on top for a good while until the E63 came now
but this wont happen with the M3 if its released so late..

PS
With his im not saying that the M3 will be a bad car..it will probably still smoke everthing in the class.. on track atleast

When BMW's 5 lt V10 makes 507 hp there is no way a 4 lt engine can make over 410-420. Sorry JM but the rest are daydreaming.

That V10 engine is capable of making more HP than that btw... It was just limited to 507.

I'm hoping they don't. I know that's what a lot of people said about BMW's in general, but the 335i is a huge success I agree. But /M cars are just so special. They don't have the active steering, run flat tires ect... Unless they need to go way past the 600hp mark, I'm hoping they wont.

there been talk everything to 4,0 to 4.4 liters. Im not dreaming at all. If you think BMw will stand still and just watch the competition leave the M3 behind, then you are dead wrong. Then there also will be a CSL version and those rumours are saying 450hp.

funny thing about E63 is that carmags meassured the cars, the M5 turn out to be faster 200km/h and equal up to 160km/h with the E63. Like I said before, M5 cars are more than just a powerful engine. AMg often has more horsepowers than M but M usually has less weight than AMG. What M cars lose in engine power that they make up with lower weight and better gearing. No, I dont agree that M cars are underpowered, they would be underpowered if the competition beat the M in acceleration with several seconds, now we talking small differences, so underpowered that word isnt correct. also the sales will be sky-high despite what numbers of horsepowers.

It has been shown on dyno that the M5 engine power is underrated. Some members on m5board who dyno-ed their car showed that the engine makes 520+/- hp. So I don’t think the M3 4.? L engine cant do more than 410-420 hp..

We just can’t do anything just wait and see what M power have for its benchmark coupe. The M3
