The main attraction of the GTS is the upgraded engine, offering it in the standard M3 outfit would be a kick in the nuts for the GTS buyers who will enraged over BMW offering the same engine in a car close to half the price of the GTS.

What a will expect to see is a handful of GTS buyers who will buy a M3 in orange, with black rims and buy imitation front-lip and spoiler.

PS. Love the video footage, this car is awesome.

CrunchSlaughtered is on a distinguished road
When the RR Ghost’s first pictures were released it was said that it would have something like 507 ps. We know what happened next. The M3 GTS will have the displacement increased with 0,4 L, the breathing and exhaust improved, also the electronics, and the power increase is only 30 ps (compared to DIN’s 420 ps of the standard). Is this official or only a prerelease information with suggested numbers. For me it sounds more like 470 or maybe I'm dreaming

Congratulations on the order. Any indication of likely delivery date yet? I don't think too many people will confuse it with a 320d though (http://www.germancarzone.com/new-bmw...tml#post422304 (Upcoming M3 GT4 Street / M3 GT information)).

This just isn't as subtle as the E46 M3 CSL!

That rear wing screams "look at me!". If you parked that at the garage at my work people would laugh (and that's before they hear how much it costs!). Not for me thanks (unless I am at a track).

Legislation down here prevents the registration of LHD vehicles younger than a certain age.
I dont see any reason for them to not make a RHD version. After all the M boss did also say that these cars can also be 'customised' to different tastes/special requests by their respective owners and since these cars are being built entirely by the M division, I am sure this will be highly probable.

If you were to look at how exorbitantly priced the CSL was, history repeats itself. The CSL costed almost double the price of a normal M3 on local shores and came with a whole lot less. It was also aimed squarely at true M enthusiasts with fat wallets so I dont see why this would be any less exciting to you then the CSL.

Kaak praat Martin! This car has been given way much more ///M garnish then even the E46 CSL. I might agree that its not as pretty as the CSL but on paper its definitely far more exciting then the M3 CSL in every way.

That is just pure awesomeness. Excessive, gorgeous, irrational, a true //M in every sense.

it has been made less discreet and more hardcore than the CSL in order to preserve the somewhat tarnished image of M, due to the amount of non-typical products and the soon drop of the high-revv N/A philosphy.

So this is like a big middle finger to all the whiners (of which I am, of course) pretending that M is slowly turning into AMG while AMG took the other way around.

It's a marketing coup, but still awesome!!
