Half a sec to 200 km/h is really insignificant, I would rather gain 0.1 sec to 100 km/h than gain the 0.5 sec to 200 km/h.

It doesn't snow in all parts of the world and as for rain, most 2WD cars do perfectly fine. Even with with a four wheel drive car it would be irresponsible to speed. So for a great percentage of people, AWD doesn't make a great difference unless it's an offroad car we're talking about.

...only it is much less of a sportscar, which is a very important aspect. If you go for the RS4 you might as well go for a ML63 as mud management and hillclimbing in the snow seems to be a priority

Yea, I always found this 'rain and snow' argument a bit vacuous, may be cause I live in sunny California. But whenever it rains I am trying to get back home safely, not test my or the car's limits. There are other advantages of having AWD, even in the dry, but being able to go fast in inclement weather is not one of them in my books. And people also forget in bad weather, even more important than AWD or RWD is the type of tires you have.

Half a second to 100 km/h. The DCT box is like 0.2 seconds faster to 100 than the manual, and the coupé is like 0.2 seconds faster to 100 than the sedan.

And RS4 is nice and all, but cannot even stand in the shade of the E90 M3.
