The 6 Series four-door coupe, the Mercedes CLS rival, Porsce Panamera and Audi A7 will make the same platform of the new Series 5 and Series 6 elongated. Fall in the 6 Series range and is not above the 7 Series, ie, the 6 Series there will be three versions: Coupe, sedan and convertible. There will be a GT or PAS in each of the existing ranges and GT Series 7 will be, as in Series 1 and 3.

There will be additional variants for the 1er , 3er Gran Turismo but the 7er Gran Turismo which is in fact the proposed production car of the Concept CS was cancelled due to the economic climate and as of now there is replacement and no forthcoming BMW 7er Gran Turismo in this age. If you work for BMW then you would have had the level 1 memo which comes direct from the Board meetings on strategy priority or indeed use intranet access (your name... ID -F000F01234 to obtain the strategy regarding the 7er family and what is coming. . Here is the 2008 patent agreement for the 7er Gran Turismo.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | CS Concept based project (Project Gran Turismo) was first officially announced - even ex M development boss Richter was appointed to lead the project GT development. But then few months later BMW CEO Reithofer announced on a press conference the Project GT was canceled due to financial crises, and that BMW would rather invest more in EfficientDynamics & Project i. So, no 7er GT right now. Perhaps on the next generation 7er platform. Instead of 7er GT the 4dr 6er coupe got a green light - and will probably be called 6er GT. Although CS trademark is also being considered. The latest news is there are some difficulties in 6er GT development - regarding torsional stiffness. The board is not satisfied with the initial test data, and demands better solutions. So, B-pillar-less solution is in peril. The chassis / WB is to long to be able output some desired torsional stiffness without B-pillar. Since the WB is a bit longer - to provide some extra rear room. I guess superb torsional stiffness is demanded due very possible M version of the car. If the standard car is too weak then M engineers can't do anything unless HUGE money is invested in the re-engineering. Also the metal roof for the 6er cabrio is not behaving in the way some would desire. They are experiencing some sever aerodynamic difficulties - too high Cw so the targeted fuel consumption numbers (by a certain engine & ED solutions) can't be met.. But the engineers hope the tests in the new Aero test tunnel will help to resolve the issue. Designers & the board demand low waist line, and therefore the rear end is low as well - causing aerodynamic incompatibility with the roof. And since the rear is staying, the roof has to be modified to perform better. There are also some ideas to include the retractable wing (ala Porsche or Audi) to overcome the issue but the board is not keen on this idea. We'll what the time will bring ... |

![]() | I you do not know anything and I will not give my personal data in the network, as you understand. What you referred to as GT Series 7 and fectivamente is canceled which is a four-door sedan with coupe line, similar to Prsche Panamera and other similar models. BMW 7 Series is a PAS GT and we've seen photos of mules in the network of this model. You have not seen is something else. You should know, so if BMW knows that all of the Series will have a range except PAS 6 Series Coupé is, par excellence. And this figure of 7 GT Series (PAS), known as the Heads of Approval Products countries. What you presented in the attached image, actually, this is what would have been the production CS Concept, but the 7 Series GT has no plans whatsoever in the design similar to that patent. PAS is one, ie one which is the hatch version 5 GT Series. |
