That PS indeed is hot. I do like. I hope the chosen design for the 3er GT will be as sporty.

I would more likely say the 1er Gran Turismo.

Each GT model will not be similar in execution. You know from my discription what the 3er GT will be like, a more raked shooting brake rather than the fastback 5er GT . The 6er GT will be a four door coupe and the 1er GT is something like this.
The 1er Gran Turismo is purely a respite to a conventional wagon or (euro-centric) Small MPV ie - Ford C-Max , Renault Megane , Opel Zafira etc, etc.
It is intended to replace the idea of a conventional sedan and Touring models and introduce something new to the class without having to resort to a small MPV.
BMW reckon the only market that would want the 1er sedan would be the USA , But in Europe BMW need the vast fleet sales generated by the 318d/320d models as used by Government , business and Emergency services. Whereas the next 3er does not get a substantial length increase , BMW needs the 3er for this purpose that producing a 1er sedan will mean these fleets looking at our competitors and BMW experiencing a loss in fleet sales which in the current climate is not viable.

BMW intend with the 1er to replace both the sedan and Touring variants which have since been axed with a 1er Gran Turismo which will offer the sporting prowness of a sedan and the space and flexibility of a Touring or small MPV.
But since this is BMW expect something radical to offset the concept (Look at the Citroen Hypnos Concept to explain BMW’s thinking in terms of shape and form.

This doesn´t go here, but Can you give us more details about the GT6? You have told us about some shooting brake ideas, but on your latest post you talk about a 4 door Coupe ala CLS/Rapide.

Fido is on a distinguished road
Entire model range will be similar to the GT Series BMW 5 GT, 1 and 3. In the 6 Series there is no prevision for a GT but a four-door sedan that will not be called GT. There are also planned, a source confirmed from BMW, 7 Series GT.

Not entirely true. BMW see the GT series as the Progressive line of vehicles hence the titles "Progressive Activity Sedan" and "Progressive Activity Coupe" Each model will take form of a seperate concept designed to spread the appeal of a BMW for everybody.

The 6er GT will be a car that will be unique in the segment which will be populated by the Panamera , A7 , CLS , Jaguar XJ and be a flagship for the BMW portfolio it will take the shape of a four door coupe with unique characteristics and features to distinguish it from the competition.

The Cancelled (Last Year) BMW Concept CS which if it had made production would be called the BMW 7er Gran Turismo. There is no plans to resurrect the CS although the 6er Coupe and Cabrio and 6er Gran Turismo will inherit some of the CS Concepts appeal.
There is no plans for a BMW 7er Gran Turismo at the current time.

Sorry , Your source is wrong.
