BMW to offer Performance Power Kit for 335i & 135i (with 326HP)

BMW says they will present a Performance Power Kit for 335i (Sedan, Touring, Coupe, Cabrio) & 135i (Coupe, Cabrio) at the Geneva Motor Show.

Performance Power Kit will boost the N54 3.0L twin-turbo engine output to 326HP (standard version: 306HP), and 430Nm when paired with manual gearbox, or 450Nm when paired with automatic one (standard version: 400Nm).

Performance Power Kit will also be available with 7-speed DCT gearbox - in 335i Coupe & 335i Cabrio only.

BMW says the 335i Sedan with the PPK will be able to accelerate form 0 - 100 km/h in 5.4 seconds (regular 335i Sedan in 5.6sec), while acceleration from 80 - 120 km/h will be faster for 0.5 sec.

That will be nice. The current 335i coupe will be very close in engine figures to the E46 M3. The difference is that you'll be able to get the 335i with Xdrive

Finally the 335i can compete with Audi S4 in terms of speed.

Eni, I asked this in other topic, but probably you haven't seen it. In one year time E92 will recive a face lift. I've read it will be small one - minor changes in lights (inner details, not a lights shape) and a little different bumpers. But on other forum I've read that someone from BMW said that E92 LCI will get wider back of the car. Do you know how big face lift can we expect ? Thanx

Add some of the Performance Parts as well (eg. brakes, dampers, air intake system, exhaust, seats, steering wheel, wheels) and you get a true S4 competitor. Yet with true RWD.

The design changes will be minor - mainly bumpers, side skirts, head & rear light graphics. And yes - the rear track will be a bit wider - just as on E90/91 LCI. Nothing dramatic. Doesn't have any consequences on design though - except a few mm wider fenders.

Some sources also say the Dynamic Drive will be offered optionally (different driving modes to select from - just like in 7er, Z4, also M cars).

Still trying to get some info on this one.

S4 have LSD. If BMW offered the same it would be perfect.

It should be part of the Performance Power kit! I can't understand why they don't offer it. Even with the LSD the 335i would be miles behind the M3..
