Damn, I love this company. You can bet the farm this thing is underrated. 335i's are putting out 330hp at the crank. I wouldnt be too surprised if this bumps it to 360ish.

I'm thinking about picking up a facelifted 1series whenever it comes with this. Hopefully BMW will offer European delivery with the 1series. I shouldnt hold my breathe though.

But I'm amazed how some are trying to compare BMW to Audi, or vice versa - driving / racing feeling wise.

It's a completely different driving feeling.

AWD cars are much more glued to the track, while RWD allows drifts in tight corners (DSC off) - which can deliver some extra excitement yet also losing some time.

RWD cars in general are much more engaging - while with AWD cars racing is much easier.

Completely different behavior on the limit. So I can't really understand direct comparisons.

Each car caters different racing / driving taste. Not really compatible.



In that respect eg. IS & C-class & Infiniti G are much more similar to 3er than A4 is ... yet especially in Lexus & MB the nanny-systems are too much protective. F & AMG versions are better in this respect.

So, what is the reason why BMW customers can't have a desperately needed LSD unless they buy a M car?

Just to stop some confusion due to what i've been reading on other forums : this will be an aftermarket kit part of the BMW performance accessories line up, and standart 135i and 335i will still put out 306 PS ? (As conservatively claimed by BMW)

All engines with turbo chargers can have their power bumped up very easily which makes them "underrated". In the end it comes down to balance as the lag increases as you bump up the power, and responsiveness drop as well. ECU tuning is the most common way of increasing the power of a turbo charged engine but the best combination is changing parts in the engine block and upgrading parts to make sure the the power increase doesn't bring too much negativity.

Any details on this Performance Powerkit? Porsche performance pack is called X50 and offer a very similar power bump to this.

I'd like a 330d sedan in black with that kit.
