I still feel that they could have done way better with the tail lights.

This is one of the "lost" BMWs. The E65 turn great with its FL, no perfect like F01, but sportier and more beemer. Then E60 turn out great, with a few dissapointments about interior design, but with its FL (LED, better interior, and a few more touches) now it is almost perfect.

But, this E90 is another story, the rear was ugly from the beging, the front was sad, and the shoulder line was too low. And was, in fact, a worse car in many aspect than E46.

This FL?, well, it´s ok, better lights treatment, a few updates here and there, but what else?. It´s still the same ugly and bland car we have been seeing since it was launched.

I really hope that the great desing that today features X5, X6, and 7er will make next 3er more like E46, more like old days, just like 7er, because this, with X3, is the worst designed BMW ever.

Well so far the new tail lights aren't looking good at all, to some extent even worse. But let's wait for better images. I hope there will be alternative graphics because there's faar too much red going on here, just like with the Audi A4 tail lights. Some of the chops we've seen the latest months have actually looked very nice, much better than what's in front of our eyes now. Now I'll hit the bad and hopefully I'll wake up to the sight of the gorgeous official images from BMW.

You guys are completely f...ed up!

Initially the white part of the rear lights was the problem due "not fitting there", "making 3er look like a Hyundai", "the lights not looking aggressive enough" etc.

Now the white part is gone, and cluster looking much more aggressive, now "it's too much red", and "cluster design doesn't fit the rest of the design".



Sorry, but some of you sound like a spoiled rich adolescent bitches.

And ... btw, you even haven't seen the car in person.


When you see it, you'll see everything fits fine, and the car looks better than the pre-FL one.

Very impressed by the facelift!

I especially like the grill now + hood, the front of the car now is much more aggressive and smoother.

But you should understand EnI what the story is all about. I mean, people was expecting something smoother, more after seeing how good F01 looks.

As i´ve said, the main problema with this car is the birth, it is the worst looking sedan beemer actually, you must admit it. You see the interior pics and it´s no more than a 1er interior with another color combination, and all the others design bad solutions.

Will we see a more E46-ish 3er next time?.

I think the FL is excellent. An added amount of subtle agression and it flows very well with the original design.

BUT I do think Luw may have a point about there being too much red on the tail lights. But then I didn't have a problem with the original ones and quite liked them.

Look forward to more pics and info on the under skin upgrades.

I agree with you here mate. Despite the 'changes', it still looks like the same car it always was (which I do think was/is ugly). As far as I'm concerned, the E92 is still the choice if you want a 3er as it's a much more attractive vehicle.
