Nobody is breaking out champagne, but on the same note until a CSL anything happens it means just about as much as the so-called MB fanboys gloating, absolutely nothing.

No need for BMW fans to run damage control just yet.

There is a "competiton" package for the M6, that appears to be official.

No need for boring the readers with facts they already know, that about BMW making cars that are more involving then Mercedes, yawn....we know this.

And boring the readers with stuff that we already know about from other threads about "BMW dropping various M models in favor of pointless crossovers" is okay I guess.

You are the one who has an issue with "boring the readers with facts they already know". Not him. I guess your issue is only with repeating certain facts.

And I guess your issue was with anyone mentioning that BMW might be heading down the wrong road. That being that their future plans that don't jive with rhetoric we've had to read here about BMW being so focused and pure, particularly the M division. It goes both ways, two sides to everything. Period.

Why can't we just all get along??.....

It really is interesting/awkward that BMW decided to produce a 2008 E90 M3 for ONE model year before introducing a facelifted 2009 version. Personally, I've always liked the pre-facelifted E90 M3 sedan.....the upcoming facelifted model looks nice too......I really like both......but I guess I like the M3 primarily for its technical features and performance capabilities, so I don't put that much importance on its looks.

M3 getting new rearlights and new I-drive wont be much of a problem for current M3 E90 owners. When you buy a M3 its not much about the look, its the highreeving engine and how it drives you mostly want.

Tell that to the people who just bought one who like the new look and don't like the current version of Idrive. Every M3 buyer is not a diehard back road enthusiast.
