1,669 kgs seems about right.
Could be a good surface. Then again, even the 60-150 time is not too far off the coupe.
That weight is right, until you look on BMW's USA website where it says a base M3 starts at 1694kg.
Just an observation, not trying to start anything here.

As for the 5-60 mph time, perhaps the C63 benefits from an automatic kick-down. Thus the only slightly delayed time. But torque can make a difference in this test. The 335i is only .2s slower than the M3 in this regard, while being .7s slower in the straight 0-60 test.

Edit: Nevermind. Unless the C63's transmission is the type that starts off in second, it may already be in first gear; in which case it's all low-down grunt (torque).

Well, that figure is about the same as in Europe but then the driver and his or her luggare is included.

European weight, w/o driver & luggage but with full tank (not 90%), comes out to about 1610kg. US cars are typically heavier.

Yep, that seems about right. 1,680 kgs -68 kgs -7 kgs + abuot 6 kgs = about 1 610 kgs.

Therefore I think the figure 1 669 is about what is expected for a fully loaded U.S spec car.

tvfan84, there you are. So, when do you think they will find a M3 sedan at over 1 800 kgs as you want/think it will be?

Re: C&D: M3 Sedan testdrive

I didn't say it would be 1800kgs, but it's only going to get heavier when they test moonroof and dct. So it's not close to a 200kg difference.

No, it is more like 150 kgs.

Did other mags test a US-spec E90? That this car with nearly $10K in options and which they describe as "loaded" actually undercuts BMW's US weight claim for a base stripper by some 20-odd kg says something.

Re: C&D: M3 Sedan testdrive

Other U.S. mags have not tested yet. This mag shows that the car is heavier than what's been tested over there.
