BMW M3 GT2 (ALMS) @ 2008 Chicago Auto Show - 02-06-2008, 02:12 PM

BMW will pull the wraps off a new 3-series coupe race car later today at the Chicago Auto Show. Judging by the bulging fenders and shape of the covered display car, it appears to be the rumored ALMS spec GT2 M3 rumored in the press and possibly linked to the Rahal Letterman racing team. That Bobby Rahal has been floating around the BMW stand this morning as well certainly makes us suspect that is the case. Full details will be published here following the BMW press conference later today and photos will be added to our 2008 Chicago Show Gallery.

"Oh, no... the new CSL has gone soft, just look at that Chicago concept, that is what they should have done..."

A bit over done, but it is a race car, so I guess the wind tunnel gets to decide. Apparently the engine makes 485 HP.
