SMG wasn't exclusive to only M3 and M5. Here's a 645Ci with SMG for example: | | | | | Junior Member

What I'm trying to say is that SMG, was not, even extra in other models, like DSG is in VW, Audi, etc...
Maybe I'll buy a 335d, and i would like to have a better gearbox, MB has 7-G, and Audi, VW DSG.
Actually the worst part of BMW was gearbox, until now , imagine E92 335d power plant with M DKG...
Thanks. | | | | | Devotee

Thanks. | You could choose between manual, automatic and SMG for the 645Ci.
MB 7G-Tronic is a regular automatic not a dual-clutch transmission. But I agree, I would like to see the DCT in as many models as possible. | | | | | GCZ's High Court

There is nothing, no confirmation, no spy photos... until now only M3 will have it, some one talk about torque, 335d - 580Nm, M3 - 400Nm... The new M DKG can hold 580Nm?
Thanks. | | | | | Contributor

The media presentation for the new M3 Cabrio is now online -
Let me know what you think.
My crews responsibilities lie with the driving and static car scenes.
And yes we all had to have a drive...
Interesting Point : 1.
In the South African shoot for the new BMW M3 Cabrio, due to the weather the entire film crew and the BMW media crew went through almost 100 Ice Cream's during the whole week of filming.

Thanks. | I own a e92 335d, and i expect too the dkg gearbox would be available on e92 335D (i shall change my car on 09 october)
Here is a link which shows than the getrag gearbox is able to pass 600 Nm (> 580 Nm) i don't know how much torque for the next 335d which would be more powered (300 hp ?) - ONLY REGISTERED AND ACTIVATED USERS CAN SEE ALL LINKS - CLICK HERE TO REGISTER
