Doesn't make sense Marcus , the convertible reduces performance the gearbox enhances it. So it seem zero sum.
Is this subjective or objective ?!

Well I don't like convertibles for outright performance, I like them for their waftability and the new gearbox means no need to row your own gears....lol. An M3 tourer sorta speak.

I think the gearbox will be presented when either 4-door M3 or a Concept car will be official. Not the Convertible.

first Oktober weekend - I doubt that very much. BMW release one news, once in a month. This month they released 1er Cabrio so I think we have to wait for the last weekend in October or first weekend in November.
Unless they have decided to show us two news in one month.

But I also doubt if they will release the convertible before the DCT is available - M3 convertibles (I don't know about the rare E30 M3 convertible) always came with a non-manual option (automatic in the case of E36 and SMG for E46). I guess most people who buy the convertible don't know how to drive a manual.

But by the time M3 Convertible is for sale in US, the new gearbox will be available.

OK, I was wrong, it's not the Convertible...

it's the "New M3 Sedan": Somebody leaked the new German pricelist (as of Dec '07):

DCT isn't mentioned yet...
