I dont think M3 and standard E90 will have different rearlights. I believe M3 will follow facelifted E90

But Audi went from B6 (really dated by then) to B7 when they released the RS4, did they not?

M models traditionally are released a year after standard model, so the m3 sedan is kinda late already, and facelift should be MY2009, which is way too late, so I guess they had no option but to bring out the car now.
Maybe when the facelift comes it will get the new tail lights, like the E46 M3 coupe got new rear LED lights but same front end.

I agree these pics are a bit disappointing, the shadowline package doesn't really show up, it looks more like a 320i with plastic side window surroundings, these pics just don't show the gloss... The press pictures of the M3 coupe was much better, these are merely on normal on road shots which a journalist can do..

but ofcourse i get your point.. the audi FL was a huge one..
BMW will never do such a heavy FL and they dont need to..
but an update would have helped it.. ( or atleast i hope it will help it)

The RS4 looks a bit dated, your post really pointed that out once and for all. Nice to know that the B8 is on its way!

I'm 100 % sure the facelift will include the M3 Sedan as well. BMW did try the 3 Series Coupe facelift features on the E46 M3 but weren't satisfied with the looks of it. That's why it didn't get the facelift like the other 3er Coupes. The E39 M5 was facelifted and the current M5 just recently got the same facelift like all 5 Series cars so no doubt the M3 sedan will get the facelift when it comes next year.

It was a huge FL, that is for sure, if they change the model code. But i agree, it was not a completely new car, many things were the same but it was a big change for the better!

Check out the interior.. guud damn.. its so boring...
its like the C63 interior.. its even more boring really..
doesent give a clue in the world despite some small badges here and there that its a M interior..
