Yeah, the timing is terrible. IMO the new tail lights hsould have debuted on the M3 sedan, kind of how Audi did with the RS4. That is unless BMW are planning on launching the facelifted M3 sedan at the end of next year as opposed to this autumn.

With the 4door M3, OK so it is getting the facelift (tail light/boot light changes) with the 4 door facelift, so what happens when it is time for the coupe facelift? It is almost certain that the coupe facelift will have a some minor changes at the front, and since the 4door M3 has a coupe front, will it get another facelift???

The M3 sedan has the M3 coupe front, not the 3er coupe front. And the M3 coupe doesn't get the same facelift as the regular 3er coupe. It didn't happen previous generation either.

M cars are special. So special that when you put another boot on an 'old' M3 sedan and put the LED lights on, it will be exactly like the LCI M3 sedan. Why? Because all the sheetmetal is completely different from the regular 3er sedan, so it doesn't need the facelift at all.

Now the interior is another story, because I do not know what is going to change in the 3er interior. We already know about the gearlever and new iDrive, and those are some major updates imo....that sucks for M3 sedan owners...

Sparkling Graphite is a standard BMW color and M color too
Or isn't that what you meant with 'classic'?

Blue Water sounds exotic and fine line aluminium sounds nice too

Lemansblue was first available on M5 E39 then it disappeared and a few years later it was only available for ordinary bimmers with M-package. Now Lemansblue is back and a standard colour for a M. That was many years ago.
LM is classic M color for me.
