Remember that the original shape of the rear lights was changed in the last minute when they found out that Audi A4 facelift was getting similar rear lights.
Here's the original design:
IMO the original design is much better looking than what we've got. Too bad BMW changed the design in the last minute.
We have to be realistic - Those rear lights won't be on the FL 3

BMW F/L's usually occur 4 years after the initial intro of a new model generation. However circumstances were different for the E66/7 7er due to the heavy criticism of that pre F/L models design. I think what we're looking at here is a mildly constructed mule that doesn't have all the upgrades on it just yet; I'd expect upgraded head and tail lights as well as front and rear bumpers, all of which are not visible on this mule, but we have time before we see anything of the like.

The rearlights looks good on Touring but on the Sedan I dont like it. anyway, Scott has confirmed that the rearlights on the Sedan is staying on the facelift.
Regarding the front, I think we will see chrome line ala 1er and 5er but thats it, the rest will stay whichs okey since I find the front aggressive and sporty.

Somehow I doubt this is all that is going to be changed, especially parts like front and rear lights and bumpers. It´s too early to make final judgement, but I´m sure it will look better than current model !
