It would appear - as predicted years ago - that the rear light plastic is being restyled to have a straight-line separating the red and white areas. So we'll just have a single, clean line running horizontally across the surface, instead of the L-shaped scheme we have right now.
If so, than this would confirm my theory that BMW deliberately fussed-up the back lights to draw a spiritual connection with the E46, even though the result was ugly. The facelifted E90 back lights will be the lights it should have had all along.
Also predictably, we can count on the FL'ed E90 to have CELIS rear lights, insead of the el cheapo, imitation CELIS it has right now.
I think the sedan is going to look mighty fine after the facelift. Can't wait.

The rear lights are looking like they always should've. The front looks much better too, I hope the grille has been sorted out. Will look a lot better when this is out I'm sure. Good job BMW.
