I understand but in countries like India where we dont have such shopes easily available at short distances. And what if i had gone for party and in the midnight while returing i came to know that i got a flat tyre.then i believe we shall be stuck in the night on road (If there is no auto centre near around).
Buy a tire and keep it in your garage when you do not plan on going on long trips. If you have a flat within the city, you can drive it home safely to be changed.
That is excatly what I have done. I only took my spare tire with me when I went on a 5000+ miles round-trip to Canada last year, never used but it was a good insurance policy to have.

But that is a temporary arrangement i feel. That means it can never be used as a family car,as you can't take luggage along if taking spare with you. Is you tilt the seats that means can't take kids along. This is what i feel.

Re: No Spare Tyre in BMW 320d

Yes, the Australian media absolutely despises the absense of a full-size spare tyre, it really gets irritating reading reviews after reviews of BMWs where consistently, the only negatives are 1) run-flat tyres 2) i-drive and 3) "love it or hate it styling".

Dad's 530i has runflats, as far as I know you can order either a fullsize or space-saver spare tyre if desired - maybe this is the case for the 3 series too? The other problem that is really noticeable with dad's car is the ride quality, which suffers as a result - very unforgiving and juttery. Not good for Aussie (and I presume Indian!) roads.

Thanks for the valuable coments. Even when i saw it it felt very bad. I can just say that people who car going to buy it in india considering it a luxury saloon, they will be stunned to see the practicality of the beemer.

Please do consider that In India it is the rule that if you want to assemble a car in india and have to sell it here you have to have 5 tyres of same size. THat's what i wanted to know that where they will fit the spare tyre.
On Mercedes' cars, the inclusion of a real spare tire is optional these days.

I know in European package it is optional, but in Indian Assembled car, Spare Tyre is Standard in the package.

Good to know. I personally wish we still had spare tires in our cars but a lot of manufacturers remove them for weight saving purposes and because of the runflat fad.
