Awesome concept,awesome car.BMW did it againHonestly,I didn´t belive that new one will be soo aggresivly designed like old M3 CSL,but I was dead wrong(gladly).I wish they leave it unchanged for serial production(either regular or CSL)

I saw the first presentation (dont know if there has been another). They said nothing regarding those matters in that presentation.

You as a BMW insider should know why the M3 presentation was so lame. The upbeat presentation of the M3 wouldn't fit too well in the current climate change debate. With everybody's talking 'bout CO2 emissions reduction you can't make a great M3 show... The press would destroy you (atleast in Germany and other EU countries).

Unofficially what you are seeing today is a Hybrid of M3 and M3 CSL , Both of these cars will enhance their status by differing exterior elements of the design and an upgraded V8 for the CSL .

later this month we commence photography and film shoot on the production car which will take in some exotic locations such as back to Dubai and Iceland and the A87 in Scotland.

I guess you had to be there but the excitement and anticipation of Andy Priaulx driving the car onto the stand in front of the worlds media was something to behold , something that I wont forget in a long time.

Well, i think i might be a good move, if people get to know this is the CSL then BMW can make a more main stream M3. This because the hardcore fans can rely on the fact that there will be a CSL to satisfy their taste and standard M3 can by going a bit softer reach a wider audience.

But then again, thats just my thaught.

BTW, i think many of the features might be from the CSL.

No need to compromise your neck Scott. Believe me, the anticipation was huge the only problem I have is the lack of information. Other than that...the car is hot!! I stand firm on the fact that I'm going to get this car as long as I have the money for it.

I'm not talking about M3 presentation only - yes, emphasis was on Efficient Dynamics - I'm OK with that. Fits in the today's context perfectly.

The whole presentation was lame. Too modest. No show.

Check eg. Audi or MB presentations - much better presentations in general (although no without flaws - poor W.de'Silva - he barely managed to produce few sentences in English).

The irony is they talked about Efficient Dynamics so much, but the presentation was neither Efficient nor Dynamic.

Even the Twingo presentation was more interesting.
