hahaha.....that guy in the video you posted is totally abusing his tires, for no good reason. In my opinion, that's just foolish.
Just to clarify about my track days.....it is never a RACE......it's all about lapping the track at a pace that you're comfortable with. Having said that, I can't deny how fun it is to try to keep up with or even pass cars that are supposed to be much faster than you by the specs. I derive great pleasure in driving my car on the track at a pace that is rapid, yet within my and my car's limits. It's the only place I can safely take advantage of my car's performance. I personally find straight line drag racing on the streets to be quite one dimensional and unsafe.
And to answer your question, I find my tires can last 3-4 track days. The outside edge is where they wear out the most, especially my front tires. My tires are street tires, not R-compounds.
