Bond's Alfa smash




The Bond car curse continues. A Quantum of Solace stuntman is fighting for his life in hospital after a driving chase scene went horribly wrong.

Aris Comninos suffered serious head injuries when his Alfa 159 ploughed into a truck while filming a stunt on a winding road in Brescia. He is reported to be in a critical condition, while fellow stunt driver Bruno Verdirosi was also injured in the crash. The Alfa, as you can see from the pictures, is a write-off.

It’s the third car smash-up in just a week on the Quantum of Solace set. Last weekend, an Aston engineer lost control of a DBS and plunged into Lake Garda, and just hours later a stuntman was injured in another crash.
