The Premium/Regular argument has never been more irrelevant. While petrol prices climb, the cost differene between blends has remained the same.

So, back when US gas was at about $1.10 a gallon, $1.32 for premium was a legitimate budget consideration. But now, with regular and premium at about $3.50 and $3.70 respectively, the point seems moot. Yes, its the same 20 cent difference, but the overall cost on a gallon of gas is absolutely negligible.

One would do much better to mind how much they drive and how they drive rather than worry about what kind of gas their car is sipping.
