Hope you are right, Deutsch. With the weak US dollar, poor economy, and tanking BMW sales the past 2 months, I'm not so sure. Guess we'll have to wait and see.


Think this is the first test to publish comprehensive interior dimensions on the 1er coupe. Not too cramped considering the short length and inline-6. Rougly the same front & rear legroom as a V6 G37 coupe, despite being over 10 inches shorter and having a larger trunk.
Having sat in one yesterday, I felt there was perfectly adequate space for average size occupants front and rear. Only problem I'd imagine would be 6+ footers front and rear for long trips...
edmunds' subjective braking comments are pretty puzzling though. It rated only a "very good" while the G37 rated "excellent" despite the G37's longer stopping distances and noticeable fade.
