You can be rest assured that Pontiac will never claim this car to be anything other than a 100-percent American sports sedan. Nothing to be gained but embarrasment by pointing out that GM's North American operation couldn't build it.

Well overall you can call it a GM car, but this is a Holden car, design, engineered and built entirely down under. It has its own RWD platform which has nothing to do with anything currently offered by any other GM brand. Holden engineered the car in both LHD and RHD version for exporting to the US and other overseas market. Pontiac designed the new front bumper and the bonnet vent, that is about it.
