Yes.

Astonishingly this is a trend that extends across various publications, EVO saying the same thing (130i had better driver involvement) despite the R32 being a full second quicker around the Bedford Autodrome.

I'm amazed (and somewhat miffed) but it really does seem like that new R32 is just fantastic. Hmph, the old one was good but who would've thought that the latest incarnation would trounce the on-paper hot hatch king?
