This has been Audi's problem for years. They aren't sporty enough to out-sport BMWs and can't match Mercedes in comfort/straight line ability. When they had AWD as an exclusive they had a real edge, but now everyone has AWD so not so much so. This in the U.S. makes it very hard for Audi. BMW and Mercedes just have it sewn up, though arguably Audi makes moe unique and expressive cars. That said I'm still waiting on the sedan version. I just refuse to believe it won't be better at the track thing.
