Spartanburg City population is approx 39,000.Spartanburg County is approx 267,000.We lived in Spartanburg for about 5 yrs before moving over to Greenville.Spartanburg is a very nice place to live.Not quite as cosmopolitan as Greenville,G'ville has more corporate/regional company headquarters ,etc..G'ville just "lives" a little bigger than Spartanburg.Both places very nice.The downtowns of G'ville and Spartanburg are about 25 miles apart.Hope this helps.Thanks.
